irish live act / release duo lakker join the blueprint label with their first release. slick shake inspired techno and electronic tracks. irish lads ian mc donnell and dara smith have been recording for some time as lakker with a number of releases for the likes lazybird, alphabet set, acroplane and most notably killekill. here we proudly present their first blueprint record in the form of the arc e.p. a superb mix of bass driven techno and electronica across the four tracks here but the office fave has to be a2s super-shuffling piano track -ed- which reminds very much of mid-period anthony shake shakir material from days long gone.

if you have been following graeme clark in his solo disguise as the revenge or the stream of 6th borough project 12-inches leading up to this one, you should know what to expect here—deep, blissfully hypnotic sampledelia with track flows governed by the laws of extreme repetition. its a shame that trance means a particular subgenre of electronic music, because that term applies just as much to the effects of these tracks as anything tiësto has ever played.
given the space, clark and craig smith are able to utilize this formula over a broad musical spectrum, creating music in the full-fledged sense, one that traces a landscape of tempos, styles and emotions and a menagerie of resurrected sounds conjures up images of dusty record shops and tattered vinyl, musical spirits captured on wax. awesome!

dean sunshine smith does it again with the first release of 2012. number 3 in the globally successful sunshine reworks series. this time he re-ignites the classic mid tempo soul shuffler oh honey by 70s british soul group delegation. pitching things up and reworking the vocals to create an infectious slice of soulful sunshine deep house sweetness!! track two and we keep the soul with an edge of funk as dean takes us on a love odyssey. reworking & re-interpreting the classic t-connection weekender anthem. this is a new version that intentionally pays homage to the original but also reconstructs the vocals to give the tune a new twist and creating a killer deep house floorfiller. as always this release has some big support from some of the scenes key players. another sure fire slice of sunshine magic from the soulshare records stable and this wonderful series.
